Depression can negatively affect many aspects of our lives – our work, our close relationships, our self-esteem, who we believe we are. It can often leave us wondering how it came about, what exactly triggered it? Sometimes this is clear to us – such as a personal loss – but often the reasons are not so obvious.
Through counselling together we would aim to understand what you're experiencing and what might lie underneath it. This will increase your awareness of your unconscious behaviour and thoughts.
Another key aspect of depression is often how we relate to others. In this case, we would also look into how you experience others in key relationships, communication patterns that take place, the feelings that you experience as a consequence.
