Clinical supervision in Brighton & Hove, Lewes and online

How I see supervision

Supervision offers a space to step back from the immediacy of clinical work and reflect on what is happening — with your clients, in yourself, and in the therapeutic relationship. Sometimes this involves thinking carefully about the work, and at other times noticing something that is harder to put into words.

At times, something in the work may feel unclear or difficult to hold onto. Supervision offers an opportunity to stay with this a little longer, to think it through, and begin to see it from different angles.

How I work as a supervisor

My approach to supervision is relational and integrative. We might sometimes focus closely on a particular piece of clinical work, and at other times attend to something more implicit — a feeling that lingers after a session or a pattern that seems to repeat across your work.

Supervision is not only about finding solutions, but about developing a way of attending to your work that feels thoughtful and sustainable. I aim to offer a space where uncertainty can be explored rather than moved past too quickly, and where different aspects of the work can gradually come into view.

The Seven-Eyed Model of supervision

My work is informed by Hawkins and Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model of supervision. This offers a way of moving between different aspects of the work, including the client, your own responses, the therapeutic relationship, and the wider context.

Rather than focusing on a single perspective, it supports a more flexible and responsive way of reflecting on clinical material.

What supervision can offer

Supervision can provide a space to:

  • Reflect on your clinical work in depth.

  • Explore relational dynamics with clients.

  • Think about moments of uncertainty or stuckness.

  • Notice patterns across your work.

  • Remain connected to your own experience as a therapist.

  • Develop a greater sense of confidence and clarity in your practice.

Who I work with

I offer supervision to trainee and qualified therapists.  I work particularly with therapists whose practice is broadly integrative, relational, humanistic, or psychodynamic.

While I am not trained in all modalities, many approaches can be meaningfully explored through a shared attention to relationship, process, and experience.

If your work is more structured or technique-led, we can think together about whether my approach would be a good fit.

Fees

  • £85 per 50-minute session.

  • £70 for trainee therapists.

Getting in touch

If you are looking for a supervisor, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation. This offers a chance to get a sense of how I work and whether it feels like a good fit.

Free phone consultation

The first step is for us to have a chat.  I offer a 30 minute free phone consultation where we'll discuss what issues bring you to psychotherapy, I can answer any questions you may have and you'll get a sense if working with me feels right.  We'll then discuss possible options moving forwards.
